2 more cons to go for me
So. It be time to finish up the conventions for this year. Only 2 more to go this year; Metrocon 2011 tomorrow in Stavanger and MCM Expo next week in London.
Got mixed feelings about it, to be honest. While me shall be missing all the cons and events me have attended throughout 2011, it shall be good to have a couple of months “con-break”. Especially when you have been to 15+ cons/events in just 1 year. Oky, it not be as much as REAL hardcore con-goers, but it’s still quite many, me tell you! So, a recharge for 2012 is going to be gooood, indeed!
Off to Stavanger today – Metrocon 2011 tomorrow
Today me, Karsten, Anette and Heidi will be driving off to Stavanger (it be just Karsten driving, but yeah) to attend Metrocon 2011! My dear friends in Kake and her bffff Kim will be our hosts, which me be very grateful for. It will be my/our first Metrocon as we all missed out on last years event since it was held at the same time as MCM Expo, but this time we shall be there! And me got to say that although Metrocon 2011 is just a 1-day convention, me is looking plenty forward to see what the organizers in Grethe & Rakel and their helpers/team have come up with for us this time! Knowing the fact that they have been working like MAD for this to happen and get done, we should have pretty much to look forward to, me believes. Not only that, but the ticket price to be a part of this is only 50kr (roughly £/€6) Me shall of course be looking forward to see all the different cosplayers, but also the many different events and what the VIP’s will come up with with the likes of Astrid, Alsak and the others. Also, NCL (Norway Cosplay Legion) will be in place with a lot of useful tips and pointers to people who are either noobies or experienced when it comes to cosplay, costumes, make-up and such. So, for a day that starts probably round 8:00am, it looks like there will be totally STACKED day, indeed! And since it be the LAST convention here in Norway, me will be there as Shookie Monster… SEE YOU THERE, PEOPLE!
